The houses celebrate our unique academy community, diversity, individuality and open mindedness, enabling us to be resilient and strengthen our collective moral purpose as an academy and give us the collective and individual confidence to challenge prejudicial language and behaviour. The houses develop awareness of mental health, sexuality, developing healthy relationships between members of our community.
The house system promotes activities specifically designed to develop students into positive and active citizens who have the skills and confidence to be advocates of change and to challenge social injustice and inequality. This is achieved through social action projects, volunteering in the local community, national programmes and developing students’ global thinking and awareness. Students develop resilience, teamwork and leadership.
