Update May 2017
4 new classrooms and clean water at Shree Sagarmatha Bung
The half term holidays took me back to Nepal and to another one of the schools sponsored by Classrooms in the Clouds. Shree Sagarmatha lies southeast of Solukhumba in a small village called Bung.
The school is in a very poor state of repair with the exception of 4 recent newly built classrooms that were open to the older students at Easter this year – this being the first stage of the re-build project there.
On this trip, we were able to re-establish the library with some new books, puzzles, prayer mats and a few games. Getting there, as always, was an arduous job. The school nor the village have no connecting roads and the only way in was to hike, and that’s with all the items that I had brought with me from the UK.
