Members of the local community were served up a treat by students in our fourth Community Café.
The events encourage, aid and foster long-lasting and positive relationships between our students, staff and local people, organisations and businesses.
This year the theme was in line with the national ‘Time to Talk Day’ which aims to raise awareness of mental health.
Tea and cakes were served and students entertained the Academy’s guests with song and dance routines.
Craft activities, a quiz and a tour of the Academy also took place.
The event was supported by catering and hospitality students, the prefect team, Duke of Edinburgh students and the music / dance performers.
Organiser, Turquoise House Leader Naomi Phipps, said: “A sincere thank you to those who supported us throughout this event.
“It was a huge success and a fantastic atmosphere. We always enjoy welcoming the community into our academy.”
